Li-SOCl2 Battery |
||
Lithium Thionyl Chloride(Li-SOCl2) batteries have a high energy density, and its nominal voltage is 3.6V. Bobbin structure is best suit for low current discharge and spiral structure is best suited for high current discharge. Principle and Reactions The Li-SOCl2 battery uses liquid Thionyl Chloride (SOCl2) as its positive active material, and Lithium (Li) as its negative active material. The reactions of the batteries are shown below. Positive reaction: 2SOCl2 + 4Li+ + 4e- →4LiCl + S + SO2 Negative reaction: Li → Li+ + e- Total reaction: 2SOCl2+4Li → 4LiCl+ S + SO2 Equivalent Model: Saft: LS14250, LS14250C, LST14250; LS14500, LST14500, LS14500C; LS26500, LSH20; LSH14, LS33600 Sonnenschein: SL-350/S, SL-750/S, SL-150/S; SL-360/S, SL-760/S; SL-560; SL-770 Tekcell: SB-AA02; SB-AA11; SB-C02, SB-D01; SB-D02, SW-D02 Toshiba: ER3V P; ER6V, ER6LV Xeno: XL-050F; XL-060F; XL-140F, XL-145F; XL-200F, XL-205F |
